The article What Great Leaders Know: It’s About Getting the Right People on the Bus.” references the book, Good to Great, by Jim Collins.  Great read.  But Jim’s analogies focus on large corporations.  I will often suggest “required” reading for new managers or business leaders that I work with, and Collin’s book is typically one of the recommendations (along with First Break all the Rules and Five Dysfunctions of a Team).  Often my small business clients will ask me….what about the small guy?  Hiring an employee is possibly one of the most important decisions any business makes.
