10 Days In Italy

What did 10 days in Italy do for me?  Other than drive me to wear stretchy pants and wish I had taken out more insurance while driving the A1?  It reminded me that being plugged in all the time (drum roll please…) isn’t healthy.  That checking your email and immediately responding to everyone was not a victory, but a distraction from clear thinking.   That quiet time is important.  That just sitting and looking at a beautiful landscape is important.  That taking a break, a REAL break from work is critical.

My dad has a saying, “No one will ever write on your gravestone…her inbox was empty.” As summer closes enjoy the last few days. Truly enjoy them.
